It is my pleasure to welcome the residents, businesses and visitors. This site is offered as a service to the community by the Borough of Lindenwold to provide the residents and visitors with important community information, as well as ongoing activities and events.

Starting the second week of December, bridge repair will begin on West Park Ave. between Lake Blvd. and Atlantic Ave. Work is expected to take 3 weeks to complete. The road will be closed Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Traffic will be detoured to Laurel Road.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5, sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Lindenwold at its offices at 15 North White Horse Pike, Lindenwold, NJ 08021, on December 7, 2015 at 10:00 am, prevailing time for the following:

TERM: January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016

PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit interest from qualified firms and/or individual to provide professional services for the Borough of Lindenwold. A qualified firm and/or individual will be selected through a competitive, quality-based, fair and open process at the sole discretion of the Borough.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS. Mayor and Council will evaluate each submission and selection will be made upon the following criteria:
1. Appropriate professional license
2. Experience and reputation in the field
3. Sufficient staff
4. Experience and familiarity with the Borough of Lindenwold
5. Compensation fees
6. Availability to accommodate any required meetings of the Borough
7. Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest that the firm may have in performing these services
8. Other factors determined to be in the best interest of the Borough

COMPLIANCE: In addition, all proposals shall comply with P.L. 1977, c33 requiring submission of a statement of corporate ownership, N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 requiring submission of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and the collection of use taxes; and with P.L. 1975, c127 and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., requiring compliance with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action laws and the submission of proof of compliance therewith.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The Borough of Lindenwold reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any proposals as may be permitted by law.

Interested parties should provide four copies of their written response addressing each criteria to Deborah Jackson, Borough Clerk, 15 North White Horse Pike, Lindenwold NJ 08021 in a sealed envelope by December 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In addition, any questions regarding this Request for Proposals may be submitted to the Borough Clerk. The responses will be opened in public, reviewed by the appropriate Borough officials and reported to Borough Council for the award of these contracts.

Full Time Clerk (Office of the Tax Collector)

The Borough of Lindenwold is seeking interested applicants for the position of Full Time Clerk for the Office of the Tax Collector. Applicant will perform a variety of general clerical tasks to include but not limited to answering phones, email, filing, copying and scanning, data entry, processing incoming/outgoing mail, and monetary exchanges. Part-Time Clerk (Library)
Borough of Lindenwold
Lindenwold Library is seeking applications for a part-time Clerk. Applicant will perform a variety of routine clerical tasks which involve data entry, handling of money, answering phones, and other duties as required. Must have excellent oral communication skills, people skills, organizational skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Internet with ability to troubleshoot basic computer problems, and capable of lifting/bending in order to maintain organization of library bookshelves. Some Saturdays and evenings required. Bilingual a plus, but not required.

CUSTODIAL WORKER
DEFINITION
Under direction of the Director of the Department of Public Works, performs varied simple, routine tasks involved in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings/grounds; does other
related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Either working alone or as one of a group, washes and cleans windows/floors, polishes floors, and dusts desks, tables, chairs, and other furniture. Inspects, analyzes, and determines the cleaning work to be done and materials needed. Establishes, maintains, organizes, and develops effective work plans and methods. Cleans offices, cafeterias, meeting rooms, conference rooms,
courtrooms, holding cells, classrooms, halls, lavatories, and other areas of public buildings.
Sweeping and vacuuming of flooring. Dusting and cleaning of window treatments. Collects and removes trash and recycling from offices and buildings. Keeps order in lavatories and Storage rooms. Polishes metal fixtures/trimmings. Shovels snow from driveway and sidewalk, and spreads sand, salt on icy surfaces to prevent slipping. May assist carpenters, electricians, painters and plumbers by cleaning up after work has been done. Reports unsafe conditions, unusual occurrences and needed repairs to the proper persons. Prepares requisitions for needed equipment, and ensures that these are properly stored, safeguarded, recorded and used.
Maintains inventories of equipment and supplies. Maintains basic records and files.

REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience preferred in work involving cleaning, and maintenance of, fixtures, offices and buildings, and the reconditioning, care, and maintenance of grounds.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driverís license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of housekeeping methods and procedures. Knowledge of housekeeping tools and equipment. Ability to maintain inventories of household equipment and materials and supplies.
Ability to understand and carry out oral/written directions, and to learn quickly from oral/written directions and from demonstrations. Ability to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual
recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

Persons with mental or physical disabilities are eligible as long as they can perform essential functions of the job after reasonable accommodation is made to their known limitations. If the accommodation cannot be made because it would cause the employer undue hardship, such persons may not be eligible.
